In Appreciation of Self-esteem
There you are at home, alone on a Saturday night and wondering what it would be like if you had some honest self-esteem. What would it be like if you had the confidence you lack, and really understand others as they truly are, no better, no worse than you are. We all go through pains and often they hurt. Mentally and physically sometimes this can affect our self-esteem,
That being said, let's take a look at what some of the advantages are of having good self-esteem. I'd like to add that the benefits of having good self-esteem are numerous.
First, it's highly associated with motivation. When we feel better we just naturally do more, we have more energy it is only natural.. Psychological resilience, meaning, we allow others to rub off of us more quickly. We feel good about ourselves, so we allow others to be more of a jerk at the water-cooler. High self-esteem will give us more motivation to live a healthy productive life.
If that isn't enough reason to keep a good positive self-esteem image, because those lacking self-esteem are more likely to develop depression, problem anger, anxiety, chronic pain and a nameless variety of other distressing psychological and physical systems.
So, with all that being said, the benefits of having a wholesome doze of your own self-esteem. It becomes obvious that a good healthy view of ourselves is so important. So then, you ask? How do I get the good kind of self-esteem?
We begin at the beginning, knowing what self-esteem is. That is the conviction that one is as worthwhile as anyone else. I am no more important than you are. We somehow feel a sense of dignity that we all share with one another. We all share what all humans possess, and that is an intrinsic worth of self-value. Then on the other hand, we have all have this lesson to learn in life, we're all in the same boat. There is no need to be arrogant or even boastful. No need to think we are any worse or any better than anyone else.
Self-esteem has nothing to do with being self-centered, the two are on opposite poles when it comes to how we feel about ourselves. Sure you can stay angry at someone if you want. Then again you could realize that all of us make mistakes at times.
